Danish Shipping, the representative organisation for Denmark’ shipping industry, has launched its first Diversity Award, and our Founder Heidi Heseltine is on the jury that will be assessing the four nominees.
Denmark’s shipping sector is an important player in the Danish economy and a leading player in the global shipping industry, not least as a centre for progress, innovation and best practice. It is perhaps little surprise that the four nominees for Danish Shipping’s Diversity Award are all well-known, progressive names within the maritime world.
The award has been established by Danish Shipping to help highlight initiatives that have delivered significant progress towards increasing diversity, either within the organisation or for the industry as a whole. The four nominees for the inaugural award are DFDS, Maersk Tankers, Hafnia and Norden.
The five-strong jury will assess the merits of all four nominations, which between them showcase a wide range of initiatives, employee benefits and targets to drive meaningful progress to improving diversity.
The winner of the award will be announced in October. For more on the award and the nominees, read on:
